KING COUNTY, WA — Two people were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a single-vehicle rollover wreck off State Route 164 near southeast Auburn, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The collision took place on the eastbound lanes at milepost 8, just east of Southeast 400th Street, at about 12:11 p.m.

A preliminary investigation indicates a 31-year-old woman was driving a four-door 2011 Kia Sorento eastbound when the vehicle veered off the roadway and flipped four times before coming to a stop in a ditch.

The driver and her passenger, a 40-year-old man, were both transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with undisclosed injuries.

According to the WSP press memo, the driver faces charges of DUI upon her release from the hospital. She was also found to have not been wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Kia Sorento was totaled in the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
