WEST SEATTLE, WA — King County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a crash Monday night in West Seattle’s North Delridge area that ultimately claimed the life of an 81-year-old pedestrian, reports West Seattle Blog.
The incident occurred on a stretch of Southwest Roxbury Street at 15th Avenue Southwest, prompting a response from King County Sheriff’s Office deputies some time before 10:20 p.m.
Officials indicated that the elderly pedestrian was struck by a vehicle whose driver continued eastbound on Roxbury without stopping.
Seattle Fire Department medics rushed the victim to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. At about 10:56 a.m., the King County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the motorcyclist had died.
At least one witness said they believe the hit-and-run suspect is a gray Mazda SUV, or a silver SUV. The vehicle is also thought to have sustained front-end damage to its hood and grill areas.
