SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle accident was reported late Tuesday afternoon on an Interstate 5 ramp near downtown Seattle, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The collision took place on the collector-distributor ramp from northbound I-5 to James Street, in the city’s Yesler Terrace area, just west of Harborview Medical Center. It was first recorded by WSDOT at 4:30 p.m.
Only the far right lane was initially blocked, but by 4:56 p.m., two right lanes were closed as WSDOT’s Incident Response Team, the Washington State Patrol, and local firefighters responded to the area.
While traffic cameras captured at least two emergency vehicles at the scene, officials have not yet confirmed any injuries.

By 5:14 p.m., only the far right lane remained blocked, but delays were still anticipated in the area as crews continued to process the scene.
