PUYALLUP, WA – According to KIRO 7, a train struck and killed a pedestrian on the 4th St NW and 5th St NW railroad crossing on Thursday.
Officers first posted about the incident around 9:30 a.m. Emergency responders were still at the scene of the accident by the time of KIRO 7’s report at 10:40 a.m
Crews have closed the roads at the Bypass, North Meridian, and the railroad Crossing. Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
Officials have not released the victim’s name.
The Puyallup Police Department is investigating the incident.
