News: Officials ID victim of fatal hit-and-run near White Center

WHITE CENTER, WA – Officials have released the name of the man who died following a hit-and-run collision at SW Roxbury St and 15th Ave SW on April 22, according to KOMO News.

The driver was heading east on SW Roxbury St when they struck Thomas Joseph Garrett, 81, around 10 p.m. Following the collision, the driver continued east.

Rescue crews transported Garrett to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he died.

Witnesses at the scene say the suspect’s vehicle was a silver Jeep Compass. The vehicle may have damage to its hood and grill areas.

The Kings County Sheriff’s Offiice urge anyone with information concerning the incident to contact them.
