News: Authorities respond to crash on 4th Ave near Skyway Observatory – Columbia Center

SEATTLE, WA — Parts of 4th Avenue in downtown Seattle were blocked Friday morning following a collision, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

The accident unfolded at the intersection with Columbia Street, near the Skyway Observatory at Columbia Center. It was first reported by SDOT at 6:40 a.m.

Little information has been made available at this time, but the two right northbound lanes and the left westbound lane were blocked as a result of the wreck.

A photo taken at the scene shows at least one fire engine responding, but officials have not confirmed any injuries or hospital transports.


By 8:42 a.m., more than 2.5 hours later, crews had cleared out of the area and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
