News: Accident closes part of northbound East Marginal Way S in Georgetown area

SEATTLE, WA — Authorities were dispatched to a crash Monday afternoon on East Marginal Way South in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

The collision took place on the northbound lanes at South Michigan Street and was first reported some time before 1:11 p.m.

A sequence of events leading up to the accident has not been made public, but two right northbound lanes of East Marginal Way South were closed in the immediate aftermath.

By 1:37 p.m., more than 25 minutes later, crews had cleared the scene from the roadway, leaving all lanes open to traffic.
