News: Accident blocks part of northbound Alaskan Way in downtown Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle wreck was reported Monday morning that closed part of northbound Alaskan Way in downtown Seattle, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

The accident occurred at the intersection with Madison Street near Pier 55 and was first reported by SDOT shortly before 6:00 p.m.

Little information has been made available at this time, but the right northbound lane was shut down for nearly 30 minutes. Motorists were advised of delays and asked to use extra caution in the area.


Just after 6:30 p.m., the scene had been cleared from the roadway, with all lanes reopened to traffic.

No injuries have been confirmed at this time.
