KING COUNTY, WA — A woman died Friday morning after her car struck a Washington State Department of Transportation trailer on Interstate 90 in north Issaquah, reports KOMO News.
The fatal wreck took place on the westbound lanes just west of the exit to Front Street. It was first reported by WSDOT at 8:55 a.m.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the woman was driving westbound when, for unknown reasons, she veered onto the shoulder and collided with the trailer.
The female driver died as a result of her injuries, confirmed authorities.
A golden retriever who survived the crash was transported to an area pet hospital.
