THURSTON COUNTY, WA — A driver was taken into custody Friday afternoon after a rollover wreck in northeast Lacey that left them seriously injured, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The collision occurred on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 at Carpenter Road Northeast. It was first reported by Trooper Robert Reyer shortly after 12:00 p.m.
Little information has been provided, but officials said the driver was traveling alone when their car overturned in a crash.
The driver, who suffered serious injuries, was transported to an area hospital and arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

The WSP had two left lanes closed during the response and initial investigation, but by 1:50 p.m., all lanes were reopened to normal traffic.
