KING COUNTY, WA — Authorities were called to a wreck Friday afternoon that blocked two lanes on Interstate 405 in Bothell, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident was reported on the southbound lanes just north of Exit 24 to Northeast 195th Street, at about 1:40 p.m. Washington State Patrol troopers and WSDOT’s Incident Response Team responded to the scene shortly after.
While the cause of the wreck was not immediately clear, the HOV and left lane were both blocked in the immediate aftermath. The closure created delays and a one-mile traffic backup in the area.
