SEATTLE, WA — The Washington State Patrol responded to a crash involving multiple vehicles Thursday morning in Seattle’s Mount Baker Tunnel, according to Trooper Rick Johnson.
The accident occurred on the eastbound side of I-90 at the left bore, in the city’s Judkins Park neighborhood. It was first reported shortly before 9:07 a.m.
Few details have been released, but the authorities said the wreck forced a closure of the tunnel’s left bore.
Though the south bore remained open, commuters were warned of delays impacting the area.

By 9:27 a.m., about twenty minutes after the initial report, WSP announced the roadway had been cleared to the gore point a little east of the tunnel. Motorists were urged to use extra caution as troopers remained on the scene for an investigation.
