SEATTLE, WA — Firefighters extricated one person called to a crash Friday morning in downtown Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood, according to the Seattle Fire Department.
The accident occurred at the intersection of 8th Avenue and Cherry Street and was first reported by the SFD at 6:55 a.m.
Officials did not say what caused the wreck or how many vehicles were involved, but one person was left trapped in the wreckage of one vehicle.
Crews are responding to a vehicle collision with one person trapped near 8th Ave and Cherry St. Please avoid the area.

Responding crews were able to safely extricate the patient, who was listed in stable condition. It was unclear whether they had to be taken to a hospital.
