SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — One person died Thursday afternoon after a multi-vehicle crash that injured another person on State Route 530 near northeast Arlington, reports KOMO News.
The Washington State Patrol responded to the scene between 139th Avenue and 29th Street Northeast.
An early investigation indicates two cars collided head-on, impacting two other separate vehicles. It was not immediately clear what caused the wreck.
First responders rushed two people to a local hospital, but one patient succumbed to their injuries, confirmed officials.
A section of the highway was shut down during the emergency response but has since reopened.
An investigation by the WSP remains ongoing.
