SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle crash Thursday afternoon closed two left lanes on Interstate 5 near Seattle’s Eastlake neighborhood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident took place on the southbound interstate just north of Exit 168B to State Route 520. It was first reported by WSDOT at 12:45 p.m.
The circumstances behind the wreck were not immediately clear, but by 12:57 p.m., the Washington State Patrol had responded to the scene.
Footage captured at the scene shows a traffic backup in the area.
