by | Nov 4, 2022 | Accidents in the News |

KING COUNTY, WA — Multiple crashes late Thursday closed part of eastbound Interstate 90 over the Snoqualmie Pass near North Bend, according to FOX 13 Seattle.

The accidents were reported on the eastbound lanes at mile marker 36, near Twin Falls Natural Area.

Officials with the Washington State Department of Transportation initially indicated the closure of all eastbound lanes, but about 30 minutes later, the closure was upgraded to include westbound lanes.

It was unclear what caused the wrecks, but up to six inches of snow was forecast for the area, suggesting weather conditions was a contributing factor.

By 5:00 a.m. Friday morning, the entire interstate was reopened to traffic.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
