News: 1 killed in fiery two-car wreck on I-90 near east Issaquah

KING COUNTY, WA — One person died Saturday afternoon following a fiery collision on Interstate 90 near east Issaquah, according to KOMO News.

The fatal accident happened on the westbound lanes at Exit 22 to Southeast 82nd Street towards Preston. It was first reported at around 5:30 p.m.

Few details have been released at this time, but the Washington State Patrol said two vehicles were involved, and the impact of the crash caused both cars to catch fire.

One person was pronounced deceased at the scene, confirmed officials. One other involved person was not reported hurt.

The westbound interstate was shut down in the aftermath of the wreck, and all traffic was forced to divert at the Preston exit.

No further information has been disclosed, as an investigation remains in progress.
