KITASP COUNTY, WA — A third passenger has died after a vehicle crashed into a building early Saturday in north Bremerton’s Sheridan Park neighborhood, reports Kitsap Sun.

Bremerton Police responded to the fatal wreck in the area of Wheaton Way and Sheridan Road at around 2:00 a.m.

An early investigation indicates a 21-year-old New Jersey man was driving northbound on Wheaton Way at a high rate of speed when he lost control after veering into the southbound lane. The vehicle then went airborne and slammed into a nearby building.

Two male passengers from California, a 21-year-old Vacaville resident and a 23-year-old Merced resident, were pronounced deceased on the scene. The Kitsap County Coroner’s Office have since identified the cause of death for both men as blunt force trauma.

The driver and another passenger, a 26-year-old Atlanta man, were both airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Officials confirmed the Atlanta resident died as a result of his injuries the following day.

Police said the driver was listed in “satisfactory” condition as of Tuesday. He faces multiple criminal charges, including DUI.
