SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A male driver was rescued Wednesday after his vehicle crashed through a fence and flipped upside-down into a retention pond in south Everett, reports My Everett News.

The accident occurred on 100th Street Southwest, in the Holly area south of Kasch Park.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the wreck, but firefighters had to cut the driver’s seatbelt and pull the victim out from the wreckage. No other occupants were in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The patient was evaluated by medics on the scene, but officials did not say whether he was injured or sent to a hospital.

An investigation by the Everett Police Department was underway.
