Deputies responded to the scene in the 13700 block of the road, north of The Shyne School, on August 12, shortly before 1:33 p.m.
It was unclear what led up to the accident or how many vehicles were involved, but the sheriff’s MARR (Major Accident Response and Reconstruction) unit was also called to the scene.
At least one victim died as a result of their injuries, confirms authorities.
A section of Avondale Road was blocked and expected to remain closed for an extended time during an investigation.
