News: Vehicle struck by falling tree on SR-203 near Duvall

KING COUNTY, WA — A tree collapsed and hit a vehicle Wednesday morning, completely blocking a section of State Route 203 near north Duvall, reports King 5.

The crash impacted a span of the highway between Cherry Valley Road and 189th Avenue. It was first reported by Washington State Patrol trooper Jacob Kennett shortly after 5:15 a.m.

Details remain limited, but the roadway was shut down for about 45 minutes while Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) crews worked to clear the tree. All traffic was being diverted to side streets in the duration.

At about 6:00 a.m., the scene had been cleared and all lanes in the area were reopened to traffic.

As of this writing, officials have not indicated any serious injuries in the incident.
