SEATTLE, WA — Two people in a large truck crashed into a convenience store early Thursday during a smash-and-grab burglary in Seattle’s Rainier Valley area, reports FOX13 Seattle.

Seattle Police responded to the scene in the 6200 block of Rainier Avenue South shortly before 4:30 a.m., after receiving a call from an employee who lives nearby.

Officers arrived to find the front entrance of the building gone, and its protective metal gate destroyed to the ground.

Authorities said the damage was so extensive that Seattle Fire crews were called to the site to evaluate the store’s structural integrity.

A police report of the incident indicates the ATM machine, carrying about $1,500 inside, along with the cash register, were missing. Several items and displays in the store were also discovered damaged.

No injuries have been reported in the event.

No further details have been shared at this time, but police continue to investigate and search for the suspects, believed to be two men.
