SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle collision was reported early Friday afternoon on Interstate 5 near Seattle’s University District, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The crash happened on the southbound interstate just north of Northeast 45th Street. It was first reported by the WSDOT at 12:55 p.m.
On I-5 southbound just north of NE 45th St there is a collision blocking the 2 right lanes.

Officials have not disclosed details on the circumstances behind the wreck or the vehicles involved, but two right lanes were blocked.
Footage captured at the scene suggests two vehicles were involved. One vehicle appears to have overturned onto its roof.
By 1:13 p.m., only the far right lane was shut down as WSDOT”s Incident Response Team and the Washington State Patrol responded to the scene.
