WHATCOM COUNTY, WA — A vehicle accident Thursday afternoon blocked a left lane on Interstate 5 near the Meridian area in north Bellingham, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.
The crash happened on the northbound lanes of I-5 approaching Meridian Street at milepost 256. It was first reported by WSDOT at 1:07 p.m.
No details have been provided on the circumstances around the crash, but medical personnel, fire crews, and WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) were all dispatched to the scene.
