KING COUNTY, WA — One person was killed and another injured after their small sedan crashed into a box truck early Monday in King County, according to Q13 Fox News.

Troopers with the Washington State Patrol said incident took place around 4:00 a.m. on State Route 900 in an area between Issaquah and Renton.

The person killed was a 37-year-old male who had been driving the sedan when it ended up  in the oncoming lane, striking the box truck head-on.

The sedan’s passenger, a 33-year-old woman, was reported injured and taken to a hospital. No injuries were linked to the box truck driver, but both people are expected to be OK, according the WSP.

The cause of the crash remains unknown as troopers investigate. It is not clear whether or not impairment played a role.
