TACOMA, WA – Rush-hour commuters in Tacoma were facked with delays after a semi-truck overturned on a busy exit ramp along I-705 Tuesday evening.
According to a tweet by the WSP, the accident occurred at about 4:44 p.m. within the northbound lanes of the interstate on the ramp to SR-509.

It is still unclear what caused the driver to lose control of the truck and overturn the roadway. Fortunately, no injuries were sustained as a result of the incident.
The ramp was closed for several hours while recovery crews worked to remove the truck from the ramp. It was reopened shortly before 9:30 p.m.
