News Update: Pedestrian hit by logging truck in Lacey dies

LACEY, WA – The pedestrian who was struck by a logging truck on northbound I-5 at Sleater Kinney Road on Tuesday has died, the Washington State Patrol reports.

This is an update to our previous reporting.

The pedestrian was struck by a logging truck sometime before 2 p.m. on March 16, as she walked along the northbound lanes of I-5 ahead of its intersection with Sleater Kinney. Emergency responders rushed her to a local hospital, where she died yesterday afternoon. Investigators have not been able to ascertain her identity at this time.
