News: Car accident, fire injure woman and child in Graham

GRAHAM, WA – An SUV was rear-ended east of Graham Saturday evening, causing it to erupt into flames and injuring a mother and child.

According to KOMO News, the accident happened in the 8200 block of 224th Street East near the 82nd Avenue East intersection early Saturday evening.

A mother and child who were in the SUV lost consciousness as a result of the crash. An off-duty deputy was able to pull them from the vehicle, which was on fire at the time. Both were transported to a local hospital for serious injuries.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
