News: Authorities respond to fatal crash on SR-18 near Tiger Mountain in Issaquah

KING COUNTY, WA – One person lost their life Friday morning as a result of a multi-vehicle crash on State Route 18 near Issaquah, according to KOMO News.

The fatal accident happened on a stretch of the highway just west of Tiger Mountain State Forest and was first reported by the Washington State Department of Transportation at about 5:05 a.m.

While the events leading up to the wreck remain under investigation, officials indicated that a bus, a semi-truck, and a passenger vehicle were involved.

One person, whose identity remains undisclosed, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

No other major injuries were immediately confirmed.

A span of SR-18 was blocked in both directions from Interstate 90 to Issaquah-Hobart Road as crews worked to process the scene.

Shortly after 9:00 a.m., all lanes were reopened to traffic.
