News: 1 extricated following crash on Mercer St in Uptown Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — Crews were dispatched to the scene of a two-car crash Thursday morning in Seattle’s Uptown neighborhood, according to the Seattle Fire Department.

The accident happened at the intersection of Mercer Street and Warren Avenue North, about two blocks northeast of the International Fountain. It was first reported by the SFD at 8:36 a.m.

While the circumstances of the collision have not been disclosed, firefighters responded to the area after receiving reports of one person trapped in wreckage.


At 8:38 a.m., officials indicated that the trapped person had been rescued, but the patient’s condition was not immediately clear.
