KIRKLAND, WA — A vehicle accident late Friday afternoon closed two right lanes on Interstate 405 in Kirkland, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The wreck took place on the northbound side of I-405, just past Northeast 124th Street, in the Totem Lake area. It was first recorded by WSDOT at 4:15 p.m.
Few details have been released at this time, but the Washington State Patrol and WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) were en route to the scene by 4:30 p.m. Motorists were advised of delays impacting the area.
While all main lanes were reopened by 5:08 p.m., the onramp and right shoulder remained at least partially blocked.
By 5:51 p.m. more than 1.5 hours later, crews had cleared the scene from the roadway.
