News: SPD responds to hit-and-run on Wallingford Ave N in north Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — A hit-and-run collision was reported Friday evening in north Seattle’s Wallingford neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department call log.

The incident took place in the 5100 block of Wallingford Avenue North, near North 51st Street and just two blocks east of Woodland Park. Dispatchers were first alerted at 8:18 p.m.

Little information has been made available at this time, but officers with the department’s North Precinct were called to the area for a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) involving a truck. At least one of the involved parties fled the scene before authorities arrived.

As of this writing, it’s unclear whether anyone was seriously injured, and a description of the fleeing vehicle and/or suspect has not been released.
