KING COUNTY, WA — Crews were dispatched to a rollover semi-truck collision Tuesday morning on State Route 18 in Auburn, according to KOMO News.

The accident took place on the eastbound highway that runs over the Green River Bridge. It was first reported by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) at about 5:40 a.m. By 7:00 a.m., a three-mile traffic backup had formed in the area.

It’s unclear at this time what led up to the crash, but officials said the semi was carrying bottles of water at the time. Multiple crews were requested at the scene to inspect the bridge, clear spilled diesel from the roadway, and repair a damaged guardrail.

A section of eastbound SR-18 was shut down during the response, forcing motorists to divert at the Auburn/Black Diamond exit ramp.

No injuries have been confirmed at this time.
