SEATTLE, WA — Authorities responded to a crash near the Seattle Public Library – Main Branch in the downtown Seattle, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT).
The accident occurred on a stretch of Madison Avenue at the intersection with 5th Avenue. As a result, the right westbound lane was shut down at about 8:44 p.m.
While the events leading up to the crash were unclear, the closure remained in place for at least 15 minutes. By 9:00 p.m., all travel lanes had already reopened to traffic.
