SEATTLE, WA — Authorities were dispatched to a collision Tuesday morning on the Ballard Bridge between Seattle’s Interbay and West Woodland areas, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

The accident impacted both northbound and southbound lanes of 15th Avenue Northwest over the bridge. It was first reported by SDOT at 7:48 a.m.

While the cause and nature of the crash has not been specified, the left lanes in both directions were blocked in the immediate aftermath. By 7:56 a.m., at least one fire engine was seen responding to the scene, closing an additional northbound lane.

While all southbound lanes were announced cleared by 8:24 a.m., the two northbound lanes remained closed as crews worked to clear the area.

By 9:00 a.m., over an hour after the initial report, the scene had been removed from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to the public.

No injuries have been confirmed at this time.
