SEATTLE, WA — At least one vehicle overturned during a multi-vehicle wreck Wednesday morning on Interstate 90 in the Mount Baker Tunnel, reports KOMO News.
The accident impacted the eastbound lanes just east of Rainier Avenue at about 7:30 a.m.
According to the Washington State Patrol, at least one person suffered minor injuries, but the circumstances behind the crash remain unclear.
The two left eastbound lanes in the tunnel were blocked as crews worked to inspect the structure’s left bore for damage.
Morning commuters were asked to keep to the right side of the tunnel during the response, creating significant delays in the area.
At 8:32 a.m., more than an hour later, the scene had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were restored to traffic.
