KING COUNTY, WA — A 17-year-old boy was sent to the hospital Tuesday night after sliding off the top of a vehicle and hitting his head in Renton, according to the Renton Police Department.
The accident occurred in the 16700 block of 126th Avenue Southeast, a few blocks west of Lindbergh Senior High School. Officers responded to the scene shortly before 8:30 p.m.
Authorities said the victim was riding on top of a vehicle that was being driven by another 17-year-old boy. At one point, when the driver hit the brakes, the victim fell off the vehicle and hit his head against the pavement.
First responders transported the teen passenger to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. No updates on his condition has been released as of this writing.
