SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — Authorities are searching for a driver responsible for downing power lines and abandoning a shed on a Snohomish road Friday morning, reports King 5.

The incident occurred on 180th Street Southeast, near State Route 9, in an area north of Maltby. Deputies with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene after receiving a call shortly before 6:30 a.m.

Details are limited, but witnesses told authorities a truck struck multiple power poles and downed lines in the area. A shed also fell off of the truck and was abandoned in the middle of the roadway as the vehicle fled the scene.

No injuries have been reported in the event, but officials say if the driver is located, they would be responsible for the shed and its removal.

Aerial footage captured by King 5 crews indicate that at about 12:00 p.m., crews at the scene demolished the shed with an excavator. The scene appears to have been cleared just after 1:00 p.m.

Crews with Snohomish County Public Utility District (PUD) were also at the scene tending to the downed lines.
