THURSTON COUNTY, WA — One person died Tuesday night after a collision on State Route 510 in northwest Yelm, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The fatal accident was reported just east of Mud Run Road Southeast and was first reported by Trooper Robert Reyer at 9:48 p.m.

Officials have not indicated the cause of the crash, but one person was pronounced deceased at the site.

A section of SR-510 was closed in both directions as the WSP and Washington State Department of Transportation crew members tended to the scene. Motorists were asked to consider alternate routes.
By 12:24 a.m. the next morning, more than two and a half hours later, the entire roadway was reopened to the public.
The WSP has not reported any other injuries in the event.
