SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — Four people were hurt, two seriously, Monday afternoon due to a two-vehicle crash involving pedestrians in southeast Edmonds, reports KOMO News.

The incident occurred at the corner of Edmonds Way and 236th Street Southwest at about 12:00 p.m.

According to the Edmonds Police Department, one driver failed to yield before making a left turn, causing at least one of the vehicles to slide and hit two pedestrians.

One male pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center. Another male pedestrian who sustained minor injuries was transported to Swedish Edmonds.

First responders also transported two female drivers, one with serious injuries and one with minor injuries to Harborview Medical Center and to an area hospital, respectively.

A section of the road was shut down for a few hours during the response, causing delays in the area.

An investigation was underway.
