News: Motorcyclist hospitalized after going airborne in west Seattle crash

SEATTLE, WA — A man was seriously injured Wednesday evening in a collision while test-driving a motorcycle in west Seattle’s North Admiral neighborhood, according to West Seattle Blog.

Seattle police and fire crews responded to the scene on Harbor Avenue Southwest near the Don Armeni Boat Ramp shortly before 6:06 p.m.

According to authorities, the victim was riding a motorcycle without a helmet at speeds in excess of 70 miles per hour on the road. He was seen weaving in and out of traffic prior to striking a vehicle. The impact of the crash sent the motorcyclist 80 feet before he landed back on the roadway.

Medics rushed patient to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries to his head and body. Seattle Fire officials said he was in “somewhat stable” condition when he was transported.
