News: Pedestrian fatally struck after falling in front of Metro bus in Burien

KING COUNTY, WA — A man died Monday evening after being hit by a King County Metro bus driver near northwest Burien, reports KIRO 7 Seattle.

The fatal incident occurred near the corner of Southwest 132nd Street and Ambaum Boulevard Southwest, shortly after 8:30 p.m.

An early investigation by the King County Sheriff’s Office indicates the man had just gotten off the bus when he fell in front of one of the bus’ tires. The bus then appeared to have made contact with the victim shortly after.

Authorities confirmed the victim died from his injuries at the scene.

A section of the road was shut down during the emergency response and investigation.
