News: Young man hospitalized after SR-27 rollover crash near Pullman

WHITMAN COUNTY, WA — A 22-year-old man was seriously injured Thursday afternoon after a single-vehicle rollover crash on State Route 27 near Pullman, according to The Spokesman-Review.

Washington State Patrol said the collision occurred on the northbound lanes of the highway about three miles north of Pullman.

The young man, a resident of University Place, was driving northbound when his vehicle veered off the roadway and flipped before landing in a field.

Medics airlifted the victim to Spokane’s Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. The severity of his condition has not been disclosed.

WSP noted the driver had been wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. No drugs or alcohol were suspected.

An investigation into the cause of the crash remains underway.
