SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — Two drivers were injured Friday morning following a two-car crash involving an Incident Response Team vehicle on Interstate 5 in northeast Lynnwood.

According to Trooper Rocky Oliphant with Washington State Patrol, the collision occurred on the southbound lanes of I-5 between 164th Street and the exit to Interstate 405 at about 7:10 a.m.
A Washington Department of Transportation IRT pickup truck was stopped on the HOV lane to protect an earlier crash scene when it was rear-ended by another car.
Both drivers were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
The wreck caused two left lanes to shut down around the area.
