KING COUNTY, WA — A 27-year-old man was killed Thursday evening after his car collided with a tow truck near Dash Point Highlands Park in west Federal Way, according to Federal Way Mirror.

The collision occurred on the 4300 block of Southwest 320th Street near 43rd Place Southwest shortly before 7:00 p.m.

A preliminary investigation indicates a 24-year-old man was driving a tow truck westbound on Southwest 320th Street when he made a left turn at the intersection, in the path of an eastbound two-door sedan driven by the victim.

Federal Way Police, along with South King Fire and Rescue crews, responded to the accident and immediately rendered medical aid to the 27-year-old driver.

The victim driver died at the scene.

The driver of the tow truck was not reported injured. Authorities do not currently suspect intoxication was involved.

An investigation was underway as of Thursday night to determine the cause of the crash.
