SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A 35-year-old Camano Island man died early Thursday morning in a motorcycle accident on a U.S. Highway 2 exit ramp near the Snohomish River in Everett, according to Skagit Valley Herald.

The crash took place on the ramp from US-2 westbound to Interstate 5 northbound at around 12:30 a.m.

The man was riding a 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle on the exit ramp when he lost control of his bike in a curve, causing it to hit the guardrail on the right. The rider was ejected from his bike while wearing a helmet.

The man died at the scene. No other vehicles or people were involved in the accident.

Washington State Patrol determined that speed was the cause of the crash, and no impairment was suspected.
