PIERCE COUNTY, WA — One person was fatally injured Monday evening in a rollover collision on an Interstate 5 southbound onramp near Tacoma Mall in Tacoma, according to Q13 Fox.
Washington State Patrol troopers arrived at the scene of the accident on the I-5 ramp connecting to South 38th Street at around 5:00 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead on scene. No other person was reported injured.
Little information about the crash has been reported at this time and it has not been made immediately clear what led up to the accident, which appears to involve a single vehicle.
The ramp was closed to accommodate an investigation by state troopers. Motorists were asked to detour around the area.
