KITSAP COUNTY, WA — Emergency crews rescued one person trapped in a car Wednesday evening after a rollover crash down an embankment in Port Orchard, according to KOMO News.

The crash took place in the area of Phillips Road Southeast and Southeast Emelia Lane and was reported by South Kitsap Fire and Rescue at 5:00 p.m.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the single-car accident that caused the vehicle to fly over the embankment and land partially into a lake.
The road was closed to traffic as crews conducted an extended rescue extrication for one person trapped in the vehicle.
The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
