News: Man killed by semi-truck after rolling stop sign near Royal City

GRANT COUNTY, WA — A 27-year-old man died Thursday morning in a crash with a semi-truck after he ran a stop sign near Royal City in Grant County, according to KOMO News.

Washington State Patrol said the man was driving on Road F Southwest approaching the state Route 26 intersection at around 6:20 a.m.

As the young man drove through a stop sign at the intersection, an eastbound semi on SR-26 struck his car. Following the impact, both vehicles ended up in the westbound shoulder.

According to WSP, the young man was pronounced dead on scene.

The semi driver was not reported injured.

Authorities determined no drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
