SEATTLE, WA — A woman struck multiple cars on Tuesday afternoon while trying to flee a carjacker in Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood, according to Kiro 7 News.
Police say that the woman was had reached a red light at the Rainier Avenue South and 51st Avenue South intersection in a Dodge Challenger at 2:22 p.m. when a man approached on foot, trying to force control of the car.
In an attempt to get away from the man, the woman struck multiple cars around her vehicle while driving forwards and backwards at the red light.
After hitting the other vehicles, the woman proceeded north in her vehicle along Rainier Avenue South.
Police said at least one other car appeared to follow the woman. The man who tried to carjack was seen walking with a limp behind the King Donuts store.
Patrol officers say the initial carjacking incident is the first in a total of three connected crimes found, including a shooting event.
